SCCEBA Board Leader Grant Reeves pens opinion editorial complimenting SCE&G for solar leadership

In his June 1, Post and Courier commentary, Grant Reeves recognizes SCE&G's contributions to growing the clean energy industry in South Carolina, noting that no other utility in SC has embraced solar energy more enthusiastically than SCE&G. This past fall, SCCEBA recognized SCE&G for including solar as a significant part of its generation portfolio.

Grant has been a SCCEBA board member since 2013.

Southern Current launches Aiken County solar farm

Southern Current, a leading developer in the residential, commercial and utility-scale solar markets, expanded their solar farm portfolio with a new facility in Aiken County. The new solar project will be located off Atomic Road, north of the town of Jackson, S.C.

Clemson Area Transit – CATbus – honored with Green Fleet Leader Award

On June 4, CATbus was honored with this prestigious award by the Clemson City Council for leadership and excellence in clean transportation. In October 2017, SCCEBA presented CATbus our award for Outstanding Achievement and Innovation.

Clemson Area Transit has been a SCCEBA member since 2017.

Alder partners with KION in Summerville

Alder Energy Systems recently announced the completion of the KION North America manufacturing plant rooftop and ground mount solar array. The installation utilizes 3,643 solar panels which produce over 1,804 MWH annually of clean renewable energy. This annual energy production will offset around 80 percent of the annual energy consumption of all operations at the facility.

Alder Energy Sytems has been a SCCEBA member since 2016.
